In another era, the grist mill, with its great water wheel, stood at the heart of progress in many young communities across the land. It created jobs and converted the farmers' grain into many useful and needed products. The development of the mill was essential to the success of our pioneer ancestors.

Aside from the obvious decorative and aesthetic appeal of old mill architecture, the mill design was selected here to symbolize and recapture the spirit and ideals of nineteenth century America. This was the period in which strong individualism, honesty, and pride in workmanship combined to make a great nation. At the Old Mill, we rely on these same principles to give you fine dining in this same tradition.

The traditional role of the mill as a center of community activity has been adopted to create a friendly, convivial atmosphere for your dining pleasure.

Just as the products of early mills helped to feed a growing country, we hope to provide the vacationer with the finest food, beverages and warm hospitality to make his visit in the Adirondacks a pleasant one...
